Privacy Policy

OtterCycle ("we", "us", "the app") helps you plan and navigate routes on Singapore's Park Connector Network and cycling paths. We built OtterCycle to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what is and isn't collected.

Information we collect

• Location data. When you grant location permission, the app uses your device location to show your position on the map, plan routes, and provide turn-by-turn navigation. Your location is processed on your device and sent to our routing server only as needed to calculate a route. We do not use it to track or profile you, and we do not store your location history on our servers.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We receive a non-identifying purchase/subscription state (e.g. whether you have an active subscription) and an anonymous app-user identifier. We do not receive your credit card or full payment details — those are handled by Apple.
• No account required. OtterCycle does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or contacts unless you choose to email us for support.

How we use information

• To display the cycling network and your position, calculate routes, and provide navigation.
• To deliver and restore your subscription and unlock premium features.
• To respond to support requests you send us by email.

Third-party services

• Apple — App Store and in-app purchase processing (see Apple's Privacy Policy).
• RevenueCat — subscription management (see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy).
• Map & routing data — OpenStreetMap, LTA / data.gov.sg, and OneMap (Singapore Land Authority). These provide the underlying map and network data; the app contacts our own routing server to compute routes.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties except the service providers listed above, and only to the extent needed to operate the app.

Data retention

We do not maintain user accounts or store your location history. Anonymous subscription state is retained by RevenueCat for as long as needed to manage your subscription. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to assist you.

Children

OtterCycle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Your choices

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
