These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the OtterCycle mobile application ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use OtterCycle for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

2. Subscriptions

OtterCycle offers an auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks premium features (route planning and turn-by-turn navigation). The free version includes the cycling network map.
The subscription may include an introductory free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region.

3. Safety & accuracy disclaimer

OtterCycle provides routing and navigation for convenience only. Routes are generated from third-party map data and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for riding safely, obeying all traffic laws and signs, and assessing whether a route is safe and legal to ride. Do not operate the app in a way that distracts you while cycling. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app or reliance on its routes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt its services, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, and original content are owned by OtterCycle. Map and network data are provided by third parties and remain subject to their respective licences:

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OtterCycle and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
